Experience Sicily’s zipline and Europe’s highest swing

The Sicilian Zipline consists of a 1600 m long steel cable with an altitude difference of 260 m. The starting point is at 925 m above sea level and the arrival point at 669 m. The maximum height of the rope is over 300 m. and the maximum speed reached is about 130 km/h.

The Madonie Zipline is the only one in Italy to be located at almost 1,000 metres above sea level and to have as its natural backdrop the sea, with a breathtaking panorama that ranges from the 2,000 metres of the Madonie mountains to those of the Nebrodi, offering the enchanting scenery of some of the Aeolian islands in the Messina area and Ustica in the Palermo area.

You fly in three modes: angel flight, with a seat (also for the motor disabled), and in free style (free flight). The double flight is only carried out in the angel flight mode.

The zipline is suitable for all lovers of adventure and adrenaline experiences in safety, for those who want to overcome small personal fears, and for those who enjoy flying physically and mentally. Children aged 12 years and over weighing more than 35 kg and, in general, all persons weighing no more than 120 kg for the single flight and a total of 145 kg for the double flight (with a weight difference between the two persons of no more than 40 kg) can take it.

The Giant Swing is a 16-metre high recreational and sports structure built on a steep valley more than 300 metres deep facing the Tyrrhenian Sea.

It is possible to choose 3 types of flight:

  • DIAVOL FLIGHT from 12 to 16 metres high;
  • ADRENALINIC FLIGHT from 6 to 10 m. in height;
  • HEIDI FLIGHT from 3 to 5 m. in height; to be performed as a single, double or triple flight.

It is suitable for all lovers of pure adrenaline and thrills, but also for children from seven years of age with a minimum height of 120 centimetres and in general for all persons with a maximum weight of 130 kg and a maximum waist of 120 centimetres.

The Sicily Zipline and the Giant Swing are located in San Mauro Castelverde, in the province of Palermo.

How to get there

From Messina: Motorway A20, exit Tusa, drive along the SS 113 in the direction of Palermo, take the junction S.Mauro C.de SP 52. From Palermo/Catania: Highway A19 then A20, exit Pollina- Castelbuono, drive along SS 113, cross Finale di Pollina and after about 1 km take the junction S.Mauro C.de SP 52.
